What is my place in nature?
Right now, it’s right here,
with my bike rolling through the silent snow.
My place is among the trees, branches bare.
The carbon dioxide evaporating into the cold air, dancing with the wind.
I feel things when I’m out here:
Joy,
pain,
peace.
I hear things:
An eagle’s screech,
a squirrel’s scurrying,
the wind’s whistle as it rushes
past my ear.
Nature is indifferent to my experience,
my existence.
Yet,
it builds no walls.
Am I intruding?
Or am I welcome?
Excellent photos with unique perspectives!
A bike will take you places and introduce you to the natural world like no other vehicle is capable of doing.
