Remember that time Jace and I rode our bikes from Pittsburgh to D.C.? In three days?
Well, if you don’t — check these stories out.
It was a wild tale. And I’d do it all over again.
If you recall, Jace took a GoPro with him. He bought a mount for it, but it ended up being the wrong mount. So that meant he held it in his free hand for the majority of the shots. We definitely weren’t out there making a Scoresese film.
But — we have a friend. His name is Diego Santamaria
and he is a bit of a genius when it comes to editing. He offered to take the footage and put something together in his free time. He primarily does wedding videos. So if you have anyone getting married soon, hit him up. Seriously.
So here’s the video. Watching it brought back all the memories and feelings. The excitement. The pain. The adventure. The adrenaline. The fatigue. The camaraderie.
Thanks for reading and watching today, cycopaths. See you all Friday, when we round up all the wacky news related to cycling and take a moment to revere the good writing out there.
And then on Sunday, I will have a story/profile of Ryan Cleek — a well-reputed filmmaker and documenter of MTB. He used to work for Mountain Bike Action, Specialized and BMC. Now he does his own thing. So I picked his brain about the difference between art and content, being injured and living in Reno. Look for it!
(But a heads up … Cleek’s profile will only be available to paid subscribers. At least for a while. So to get full access right away, make sure to subscribe!)
That video is pure fun.
